Why Padel Is the Fastest-Growing Sport You’ve Never Heard Of— Until Now

Once reserved for private courts in Europe and Latin America, padel is gaining traction in the U.S. — led by luxury brands like Privé Padel redefining the sport as a lifestyle.

Move over pickleball, there’s a new king of the court: padel. Considered one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, it remains largely elusive in the United States, reserved for private courts and luxury fitness centers.

Padel, which originated in Mexico, combines elements of badminton, tennis and squash. It is a fast-paced game, typically played in doubles and allows players to play off the walls, making it strategic and exciting.

One of the most ICONIC places to play the up-and-coming sport is in Montauk, New York. Privé Padel, one of the nation’s leading padel companies, is now located in the opulent Montauk Yacht Club. One of the only locations offering state-of-the-art padel courts in the Hamptons, Privé Padel takes pride in providing an elevated way to experience the sport and connect with others.

Originally co-founded by former professional tennis player Nicholas Solarewicz and wellness entrepreneur Christopher Moore, Privé Padel was created not only to provide premium courts, but redefine what padel is— not just a game, but a lifestyle.

“Privé is not just about padel,” Moore says. “It’s about creating unforgettable experiences in luxury destinations, building community and living fully— on and off the court.”

Privé Padel offers limited public access to their elusive courts, but Gold and Platinum members receive select priority booking, complimentary padel equipment and exclusive club perks. This summer, Privé is hosting several social events to feature what the sport has to offer, beyond just physical exercise.

“Padel is more than a sport. It’s becoming a lifestyle movement that combines wellness, travel and human connection. That’s what we’re tapping into with Privé,” Solarewicz adds.

With partnerships already in development with upscale resorts, Privé Padel is at the forefront of the padel movement and is revolutionizing the elite sport for players worldwide.
