Are you looking to catch the northern lights this season? Lighting up the sky with warm hues of blue, green and purple, most people think that the aurora borealis can only be viewed in northernmost regions like Iceland and Norway. But the truth is that they can be spotted in the United States—that’s right, you don’t have to book an international flight to experience this celestial phenomenon. Here are the top trending places in the US to catch the northern lights this year.
