To Get Out, Jet Out

The luxury and convenience of private aviation merges with an ownership model that makes your pj more accessible.

Flying privately just got more accessible with the expansion of Jet Out to the Scottsdale market. To commemorate the launch, our own Tracy Thomas, President and CEO of ICONIC LIFE, joined some special guests and the Jet Out team on a lovely flight to Napa Valley with a day of dining and wine tasting before jetting back home that evening.

“Flying privately to a luxury destination for the day emphasizes the ease of private aviation and makes it clear how frictionless travel is the precursor to elevated experiences,” says Thomas.

What was clear from the beginning was that Jet Out is not a one size fits all operation. Their clients are sophisticated and discerning – many are successful business owners and executives who understand the value of time. Those clients also understand their private air travel needs, including the locations they frequent most and how often they need to visit those places. There are other services out there built on optionality: size of the plane (or fleet), its range, and availability. However, with more options comes increased costs and complexities. Jet Out’s model is tailored to fit those who do more regional travel (think North-South vs East-West), who value the increased benefits of bonus depreciation in the latest tax laws, and who can fly comfortably in Jet Out’s fleet of new Cessna Citation CJ4 Gen2s. For the high-end traveler considering fractional ownership or leasing, Jet Out’s presence in the market is a welcome addition.

In addition to experiencing Jet Out’s services firsthand, we spoke with the company’s CEO, Joe Crivello.

“Scottsdale was identified as a primary growth market due to significant wealth migration. The company decided to focus marketing efforts on their lease product in this region, says Crivello.

Jet Out offers an innovative operational model and fractional ownership structure alongside strategic expansion opportunities to communities like, Scottsdale. Jet Out’s co-ownership model establishes 16 owners per aircraft. The company manages costs by filling 75 percent of empty legs on key routes.

Jet Out originated as a corporate flight department for Phoenix Investors, a national commercial real estate company based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During the company’s growth, Crivello says that they were inspired to found Jet Out after observing the value and scalability that business aviation provided. Jet Out maintains its headquarters in Milwaukee and operates from four bases, including locations in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Scottsdale, Arizona; and Fort Worth, Texas.

“All clients are referred to as co-owners, regardless of whether they purchase a share or lease one, to ensure a consistent experience,” says Crivello.

While Jet Out participates in the charter market, their primary business focus remains on fractional co-ownership and co-leasing. The program operates with an entry investment for a 1/16th share, a monthly management fee and a $2,300 per hour fee for flight operations, which covers fuel and maintenance. This turnkey service includes pilots and insurance.

Each 1/16th share includes 20 travel days per year.

“Clients have the unique ability to keep the aircraft with them during overnight trips, a feature that distinguishes them from other fractional operators,” says Crivello.

Jet Out manages empty legs by selling the capacity to charter clients or sharing it with other co-owners, which allows the involved parties to split travel day usage and costs. In 2025, the company successfully filled or shared 75.5 percent of empty legs on key routes between the upper Midwest and Florida.

Lastly, from top to bottom, the Jet Out team is passionate about providing exceptional service to their clients and guests. Their white glove approach to every aspect of ownership, leasing, and journey ensures that each experience feels tailored and personal.
