The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa Unveils Multi-Phase Renovation

“This evolution is about balance,” says Derek Ellis, general manager of The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa. “We’re enhancing the scale of the resort while preserving the warmth and authenticity that have always defined Kierland. It’s a resort that feels both vibrant and personal and distinctly of this neighborhood.”

Here are some of the updates that guests can expect from the resort’s renovation:

The renowned Scotch Library, which boasts some of the world’s most exclusive collections of the spirit, is getting a facelift. New floor-to-ceiling cabinetry will be designed to house over 400 bottles and create a visual display for the intimate tasting room. Additionally, a new exclusive speakeasy is coming to the Westin. Hidden behind an architectural feature, the bar will have craft cocktails and a moody ambiance.

The adults-only pool has already been renovated to include upgraded cabanas, seating and an elevated atmosphere. In the fall of 2026, the Adventure Pool will also unveil its renovated bar. Additionally, plans to expand Kierland After Dark, the resort’s event series of music, outdoor experiences and cocktails, are scheduled to offer more programs for both locals and guests alike.

Inside the resort, the lobby has been redesigned to include a three-tier lounge bar and sweeping views of the outdoor landscape. Throughout the resort, there will be a wide-scale upgrade to the three ballrooms and over 40 meeting rooms, offering modernized meeting space for corporate conferences, events and large celebrations.
