The process begins with deciding on a theme and color scheme. Once the tree is set up, the branches are fluffed and the lights are on, it’s time to begin decorating. Start by adding garland, and remember to work from the top down. Next, create the topper for the tree. Using stemmed toppers brings depth and color to the top of the tree. Claeson recommends gathering three different styles to give a variety of stems and arranging them in soft “triangles” for dimension.
Just beneath the topper is the crown, a lush transition into the rest of the tree. To fill this area, Hoth and Claeson teach customers to create bundles of faux florals and stems to fill out this space effortlessly. Once the area is sufficiently adorned, it’s time for the ornaments. Larger ornaments should be hung deeper into the branches and the smaller ornaments belong at the top of the tree. All delicate and sentimental ornaments should be added last for protection and visibility. Finally, finish off the tree with a beautiful matching tree skirt.
In the end, you will be left with a beautiful, ornate and sparkling Christmas tree.
