Shopping in Scottsdale with plenty of sips along the way.
When shopping in Scottsdale, you’re spoiled with a retail heaven of choices. While you could find most of what you need online, you’ll miss out on the experience of walking into a beautifully designed store, getting help from a sales associate and leaving with your purchase in-hand instead of waiting for shipping.
Plus, a successful shopping trip has its perks—like stopping for a celebratory cocktail or glass of wine afterward at a nearby restaurant or bar. We’ve paired some of our favorite places for shopping in Scottsdale with our favorite places for a drink, so you can sip and shop your way through the city.

When you’re ready for drinks after shopping until you drop, head to Merc Bar across the street, an outpost of the original MercBar that opened in 1993 on Mercer Street in New York City. The business-casual dress code is strictly enforced at the swanky cocktail bar, so you can sip your drink in style. It’s a great destination to head to for date night thanks to the romantic atmosphere and tantalizing drinks.

SHOPPING AT OLIVER SMITH JEWELER | SIPPING AT ROKA AKOR
If you’re looking for some sparkle, pearls or even a simple pendant, Oliver Smith Jeweler has a curated selection of beautiful, house-designed and well-made jewelry and timepieces. The store’s namesake—designer and store owner Oliver Smith—has focused on creating exceptional jewelry since 1981, with a focus on making each piece last a lifetime. With only two brick-and-mortar stores, one in Scottsdale and one in Aspen, we recommend taking advantage of a visit to Oliver Smith while you’re shopping in Scottsdale.
Just a short drive down the road from Oliver Smith is Roka Akor, an upscale Japanese restaurant offering sushi, steaks, seafood and most importantly—spirits. Head to Roka Akor for a drink after shopping for jewelry and you won’t be disappointed by the extensive beverage menu, with everything from Sake to Japanese-inspired cocktails, it has something for everyone.
