Le Creuset’s Charming New Color

Just as versatile as the fruit it’s named after, the new color from Le Creuset—Olive—is the anchor of the brand’s Spring Shades palette.

From gracing charcuterie boards and salads to serving as a garnish for a dry martini or Bloody Mary, olives have become a staple in the kitchen in one way or another. So it’s no surprise that another just as versatile kitchen staple just debuted a brand-new color named after the savory fruit. Just in time for spring, Le Creuset has announced their newest color, olive, available for many of the items in the brand’s product line.

Inspired by the liveliness of California’s olive groves, olive emits a warm and rich color that is compatible with almost every palette. The yellow and green ombré styling of the new color gives a glow designed to complement cool tones or serve as a statement piece in any kitchen. The brand recommends pairing Olive with other Le Creuset items in colors such as cayenne and nectar or chiffon pink and white. Le Creuset also drew inspiration from an olive branch, saying the gold knob atop many of the products is like “extending its welcoming branch to feast with family and friends every time you gather round.”

“Olive is the right green for this moment because it is almost like a neutral color—it looks good on everyone. It is easy to pair with other colors and dress up and down. I like to accent Olive with a really bright pop of color, along with plenty of fresh flowers in the house,” Brad Goreski, celebrity fashion stylist says.

You can add a pop of olive to your kitchen style with the help of the eleven different items currently available in the color: the Round Dutch Oven, Signature Skillet, Demi Kettle, Stockpot and Heritage Square Baking Dishes, just to name a few! With this combination of cast iron, steel and stoneware, there’s something perfect for every kitchen. The new color is available exclusively at Williams Sonoma and the Le Creuset website.
