Some homes are designed for a moment in time. Others are designed to endure. For Principal Designer Isabel Dellinger Candelaria of Earth & Images, the vision for this remarkable residence was never about following trends or creating a showpiece. Instead, it was about crafting a home with permanence; a place where architecture, craftsmanship and daily life exist in perfect harmony.
“We wanted to create a home that felt stately and cosmopolitan,” says Dellinger Candelaria. “We were inspired by the romance and symmetry of Mediterranean architecture, interpreted through a more restrained and contemporary lens.”

The result is a residence rooted in Mediterranean and Spanish Colonial traditions with a quieter sophistication. Classical proportions, strong symmetry and handcrafted details establish the architectural framework, while carefully curated materials and refined finishes create an atmosphere that feels both timeless and deeply personal.
The homeowners envisioned a home that could seamlessly accommodate family life and entertainment while maintaining a sense of elegance. They sought spaces that felt sophisticated but never formal, luxurious but entirely livable.
Their desire for longevity became a guiding principle throughout the design process. “Timelessness begins with proportion, architecture and craftsmanship,” Dellinger Candelaria explains. “We focused on enduring materials and thoughtful detailing rather than relying on decorative trends.”
Upon arrival, that philosophy is immediately apparent. A sense of calm unfolds through carefully orchestrated architectural moments, where soaring ceilings, custom millwork and dramatic stone surfaces create an atmosphere that feels both inspiring and welcoming. Every transition has been thoughtfully considered, allowing the home to reveal itself gradually. “We wanted the arrival experience to feel entrancing, but in a quiet way,” she says. “There is a sense of order and calm balanced by warmth and intimacy.”
One of the home’s defining characteristics is its extraordinary level of craftsmanship. Custom millwork, architectural paneling and bespoke detailing appear throughout the residence, providing richness, scale and authenticity. “Craftsmanship gives a home soul,” says Dellinger Candelaria. “These details bring depth and character that can’t be replicated through hard surfaces and furnishings alone.”
That material palette selected showcases the level of craftsmanship put into the design. Natural stone, warm woods and tactile finishes were selected not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for contrast throughout the home.

The stone selections especially serve as artistic focal points. “The dramatic movement and natural character of the stone create moments of artistry throughout the home,” she says. “We appreciate materials that carry inherent beauty and age gracefully over time.”
Throughout the residence, thoughtful floor patterns and geometric motifs introduce moments of discovery while honoring the home’s classical framework. Bold black-and-white stone flooring in key spaces creates visual drama, while softer materials elsewhere provide balance and restraint.
"We believe meaningful homes are reflections of the people who inhabit them" - Dellinger Candelaria
At the center of the home is a grand, yet intimate kitchen that serves as both a gathering place and a statement space. “The kitchen was envisioned as the heartbeat of the home,” says Dellinger Candelaria. “A place where beauty and hospitality intersect.”
The design team’s careful attention to scale is evident in every room. Rather than relying on excess, drama is created through proportion and repetition. Large gestures are balanced with quieter moments, allowing each space to feel significant without becoming overwhelming.
Statement lighting and art pieces were chosen to feel discovered rather than staged, providing moments of surprise while complementing the architecture. Varying ceiling heights, treatments and architectural details create intimacy in some spaces and grandeur in others, offering dimension to the interior.
Beyond its architectural beauty, the home’s greatest success is its ability to reflect the family who lives there. Many of the design decisions were informed by the homeowners’ lifestyle, traditions and desire to create meaningful spaces for gathering and connection. Custom details, tailored storage solutions and thoughtfully designed rooms ensure that form and function coexist effortlessly throughout the residence.
“We believe meaningful homes are reflections of the people who inhabit them,” says Dellinger Candelaria. “The home was designed not simply to be admired, but to support the life unfolding within it.” In this residence, that vision comes to life through a masterful balance of architecture, materiality, craftsmanship and purpose. The result is more than a beautiful home. It is a backdrop for future celebrations, everyday rituals and generations of memories yet to come.
