The upscale Italian restaurant on everyone’s lips this year, il Bracco, is quickly becoming a Scottsdale favorite after its grand opening this past March. The hospitality company behind the dining destination, Western Addition Restaurant Group, says the decision to open its first location outside Texas, in Scottsdale, was driven by the city’s blossoming dining scene.
“Opening il Bracco in Scottsdale is an opportunity to share our signature blend of great food, thoughtful design and genuine hospitality with a whole new community,” Robert Quick, founder, CEO and chief culinary officer of Western Addition, says. “Scottsdale’s lively dining scene and appreciation for craft made it the ideal place for our first expansion beyond Texas. The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere that feels both on-trend and tastefully timeless, designed by Western Addition’s vice president of architecture, Kelly Wallace and vice president of design Mary Lucille Quick, along with MMaison Interiors and Brick & West Design. The patio centers around a stone fireplace, designed for al fresco dining, and inside the restaurant, rich tones and textures from leather booths and terrazzo flooring encourage guests not just to dine but to savor the experience.
The restaurant also boasts an extensive collection of original artwork, each piece selected for its cohesion with il Bracco’s one-of-a-kind interior. The curated selection comprises more than $100,000 worth of art from the Quick family’s collection, featuring signed prints and original works by artists such as Gene Friley, David Byrne, Matt Kleberg, Tal R, Tony Berlant, Vija Celmins and Derrick Velasquez.

Beyond il Bracco’s atmosphere, the restaurant’s drink menu offers an ample selection of craft cocktails, from tableside martinis to their signature Bracco, a fresh twist on a Greyhound with frozen Aperol and fresh grapefruit juice. Their wine list boasts popular selections as well as more rare finds, like Italy’s “great three” — Barolo, Barbaresco and Brunello di Montalcino — all offered by the glass.
And, of course, their menu is just as accomplished. Serving both lunch and dinner, the restaurant prioritizes scratch cooking, exceptional ingredients and a deep respect for Italian cuisine. All seafood and meats are butchered in-house daily, and the NY strip steak and Mediterranean sea bass are popular options. Other notable dishes include the Spicy Gemelli, an in-house-made pasta topped with vodka sauce; Crispy Artichokes, served with olive aioli; and The Combo, a sandwich composed of fresh mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, onion, cherry pepper spread and Italian charcuterie.
