Cheers to summer and a glass of the best rosé wine!
It’s summer, and that means rosé is the perfect wine to enjoy, at any time of day. Rosé conjures up memories of summers in the South of France, the epicenter of the world of rosé, or tres’ chic lawn parties in the Hamptons, where those in the know are drinking the wine of the moment.
A good rosé will vary in its depth of pink, depending on how long the grape skins are involved in the winemaking process. Bold or light, crisp and refreshing, these wines are best enjoyed dry as is the required style in Provence.
Here are five rosés we’re super loving right now:

CHATEAU D’ ESCLANS WHISPERING ANGEL ROSÉ
Everyone is talking about this one! Sourced from the Côteaux d’Aix-en-Provence region in France at Chateau d’ Esclans, this rosé is a blend of five grapes, and we love the delicate balance between a slight sweetness and a profound dryness. There is a special blend for the Queen’s Jubilee, and if it’s good enough for her, it’s good enough for us.

HAMPTON WATER ROSÉ
This award-winning rosé by Hampton Water is created by Hampton resident and ICONIC rocker Jon Bon Jovi and his son, Jesse Bongiovi from a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes. A good friend of mine reminds me to save water, drink wine, and I guess that’s what inspired this duo. This wine pairs perfectly with the 80s songs of summer.

DAOU ROSÉ
Here’s another brand we are finding ourselves saying yes to this year. Daou offers a lovely range of wines from white to red. This rosé is made from almost all Grenache Noir, with just five-percent Sauvignon Blanc. It’s deeper in color and features hints of melon.

COTES DES ROSÉS ROSÉ
The bottle is as pretty as the wine inside, and we recently enjoyed this one at the Food & Wine Festival at The Balboa Bay Club. This summer sipper blends Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault, and is a bit deeper in color. You’ll be rewarded for getting to the bottom of the bottle as a beautiful rose shape is found there to cap off your experience. Cotes Des Rosés Rosé makes a lovely hostess gift when you feel like you should bring flowers.

JOSH CELLARS PROSECCO ROSÉ
Last year, the Prosecco DOC Consortium approved Prosecco Rosé as a recognized style, and this Italian brand is not only a refreshing rosé, but an effervescent sparkler to brighten your day. This wine features strawberry notes and screams brunch when we tasted it.
