The helicopter skims Sedona’s crimson cliffs, their edges lit in the morning sun, before tracing the bends of the Verde River. Below, guests at D.A.Ranch Estate Vineyards pause mid-sip to watch. For those stepping out, the moment feels less like arrival and more like scene-setting.
The new Helicopter Experience is just the prologue to a fall season designed to surprise. “Arriving by helicopter changes the narrative,” says Dylan Jung, D.A.Ranch Wine Club & Entertainment Manager. “You’re not just coming to a tasting room, you’re making an entrance. It’s an experience in itself.”
For Alexis Petznick, CEO of D.A.Ranch, the goal is resonance. “We believe luxury is about creating moments that feel rare and effortless,” she says. “When a guest visits, we want them to leave with something more than a bottle of wine. We want them to take home a story.”

A Vineyard Reimagined
Once a family homestead, D.A.Ranch has evolved into a place where rustic charm meets refined design. Estate wines remain at its core, but imaginative programming now sets the pace—an inventive blend of wellness, whimsy and evenings where Malvasia flows beneath the stars. Thoughtful details and playful touches weave through every corner, inviting guests to slow down and savor the moment. It’s a vineyard rooted in heritage yet alive with imagination.
Wellness with a Pour
Balance takes center stage during Pinot & Pilates on Sept. 27 and Oct. 25. Club Pilates Sedona leads sunrise classes on the lawn, where mindful movement flows naturally into charcuterie boards and crisp Rosé. “Wellness today is about harmony,” Petznick says. “Pairing mindful movement with estate wines and vineyard views offers exactly that.”
Seasonal Charm
From Oct. 8–31, Mortimer Farms pumpkins—ranging from petite heirlooms to bold orange classics—dot the Tempranillo rows during Pumpkins in the Vines. Equal parts pumpkin patch and postcard, it’s the perfect backdrop for autumn photos with a glass in hand.
Music, Malvasia and Community
On Nov. 1, the Arizona Wine Club Release Party at the pond ramada celebrates members picking up their newest wines. Guests can raise a glass of 2022 Malvasia Bianca and 2023 Homestead Red to live music by The Sunshine Ensemble, with the public welcome for a suggested $10 donation. “The club release party embodies what we value most,” Petznick says. “Wine, music and connection in their purest form.”
The season culminates with the Verde Valley Pottery Festival from Nov. 14–16, where Arizona’s artists showcase their craft through demonstrations, lectures and live music. “Wine and art share the same soul,” Hart says. “Both are shaped by the land, crafted with care and meant to be shared.”
