Set against Pinnacle Peak and towering saguaros, this five-star Scottsdale retreat blends refined Southwestern design, world-class dining and immersive desert experiences just minutes from Troon North Golf Club.

Set in the foothills of the Sonoran Desert and framed by Pinnacle Peak and towering saguaros, Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North swaps city bustle for wide-open desert views and a welcome sense of privacy. Now celebrating 27 years, the resort refreshed its interiors with a $13 million renovation in 2018, preserving its Southwestern character through design details that reflect the surrounding terrain and adobe-style casitas that seem to rise organically from the desert floor.

About 20 miles north of Old Town Scottsdale, this five-star retreat serves as a refined base for hiking, mountain biking and golfing. And while Scottsdale’s evolving arts and dining scene may tempt you to head into town, with so much to do onsite, you’ll find it hard-pressed to leave, making this property a compelling luxury escape.

Accommodations
Spread across 40 acres, Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North features 210 guestrooms, including 22 suites designed to blur the line between indoor and outdoor living. Suites range from one to three bedrooms, ideal for families or groups and select categories add indulgent extras like outdoor plunge pools and fire pits. Every room includes a private balcony or terrace that frames views of rugged peaks, dramatic boulders, open desert or the property’s lagoon-style pool. Plus, in some cases, trails begin just steps from your door. Inside, handcrafted furnishings, beehive fireplaces and warm, earthy tones lend a polished Southwestern feel.

Beyond the casitas, it’s easy to fill a full day without leaving the grounds. Eighteen poolside cabanas provide a shaded retreat between dips at the property’s three pools, which include a lively main pool, a quieter adults-only option and a dedicated children’s pool for families. If you’re in the mood for something more active, the resort also has four pickleball courts and two tennis courts.

The “Troon North” in the resort’s name nods to one of the area’s crown jewels: the Troon North Golf Club, located just minutes away with complimentary shuttle service. Designed by legendary golfer Tom Weiskopf, the Monument and Pinnacle courses wind through wind-carved boulders, ravines and desert foothills at the base of Pinnacle Peak, earning a spot on many golfers’ must-play lists.

The Spa
Designed to help you recharge, the 12,000-square-foot spa sits within the resort’s serene desert setting. Facilities include a dry sauna, steam room, showers, a relaxation lounge, and a 24-hour fitness center, along with a full-service salon where stylists offer haircuts, manicures and pedicures for a head-to-toe refresh.

For something that feels distinctly rooted in the surroundings, book the Nopal Massage, which uses warm cactus gel sourced from prickly pear paddles to soothe and nourish the skin. Or try the Turquoise Sage Renewal, pairing a desert-native sage scrub with a full-body massage.

For an indulgent full-day retreat, consider adding sound therapy, where the gentle resonance of Tibetan singing bowls guides both mind and body into deep relaxation. Or for a more advanced skincare boost, the exosome facial uses micro-spicule delivery to support cellular renewal, helping skin look smoother and more radiant.

On-site Dining
At Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North, dining covers five distinct concepts, ranging from elevated dining to casual poolside bites.

Chef Emmanuel Urban’s paellas draw diners to Talavera, the resort’s fine dining venue. Go for the meat paella with confit rabbit, chorizo, chicken, pancetta Ibérica and green beans, or the seafood paella with lobster, prawns, mussels, clams and calamari. Pair your dish with a selection from the thoughtfully curated wine list, which leans heavily toward European bottles. With sweeping views of Pinnacle Peak, plan your reservation around sunset for an extra wow factor.

For a more relaxed vibe, Proof serves all-day comfort classics in an Americana-meets-Southwest cantina setting. Brunch favorites include shrimp and grits and steak and eggs, while lunch and dinner feature playful takes on pub classics. Try the Babe on a Bun, made with smoked pork shoulder, sweet fire pickles, and barbecue sauce piled onto a pretzel bun, or opt for the smoked short rib served with goat cheese whipped potatoes.

If you find yourself hungry poolside, Saguaro Blossom is perfect for a refreshing alfresco lunch or light snack between swims. Menu highlights include shrimp ceviche, strawberry salad, poké and Buddha bowls, and a Kalua pork quesadilla, all served in a sunny, relaxed setting.

For pre- or post-dinner cocktails, Onyx Bar & Lounge offers handcrafted drinks, shareable plates such as charcuterie boards and lobster sliders, and desserts like churros and decadent chocolate cake. Sip at the bar or settle on the patio to capture technicolor sunsets behind Pinnacle Peak.

The resort’s newest addition, as of January 2026, Desert Orchard is an artisanal café inspired by the Sonoran Desert. Fresh, seasonal ingredients shine across grab-and-go salads, bowls, breakfast wraps, paninis and pastries like Morita chili spice croissants, pistachio lavender croissants, and glazed clementine sour cream cake slices. Everything is baked fresh each morning, making it the perfect stop for a flavorful start to the day or a midday pick-me-up.
