We launched VIRTUAL ICONIC HAUS to share the beauty of our luxury designer showhouse with the world. Designed to be an in-person tour, we shifted to a virtual approach to honor community responsibility and public health. With some many of us sheltering at home, we hope you will take time to peacefully enjoy beauty, our original intent to support others. In our five-part series, we will celebrate five days of design. Today we feature the spectacular indoor outdoor experience at ICONIC HAUS presented by iconic outdoor furnishings brand Brown Jordan.

OUTDOOR DINING

Designer Inspiration: When given the opportunity to do an exterior space at the Iconic Haus, our focus was to create an unforgettable outdoor experience. We wanted the space to be beautiful, functional and fun! Outdoor living in Arizona is just as important as indoors, so we designed a space where people could take advantage of our glorious weather and easily transition between the indoor and outdoor spaces. We chose black furnishings for contrast against the white background of the home and to bring visual interest, without taking away from the beautiful desert surroundings. In addition, the different textures of the fabrics and rugs give depth and dimension to the space. An outdoor ping pong table and corn-hole boards provide fun and entertainment for all ages! If you just need to put your feet up and relax, the fire pit provides the perfect place to sit and visit with friends. And, of course if you’re thirsty, just grab a seat at the bar and watch the big game.

Designer Inspiration: The landscape architecture design of the ICONIC HAUS 2020 is inspired by the modern minimalist architecture of the home. The main focus of the design is to not overpower the sophisticated architecture, but rather to compliment with striking broad strokes of massing plant material.
The developer requested a lush non-desert plant palette for the Cameldale community, so vibrant bushes and grasses were selected. Accents of Aloes and Hesperaloes are used for their striking architectural form. Low-growing trees were carefully selected so that coveted views from the community are unobstructed. Sour orange hedges surround each lot and will grow 10 to 12 feet and provide privacy and security while also offering a lush green backdrop to the outdoor living.
The landscape design optimizes the indoor/outdoor living that is so beloved in the Valley. White porcelain concrete pavers seamlessly extend from the glass sliding doors to the exterior living areas. A large outdoor lounge and fireplace is the perfect space for outdoor entertaining. A state-of-the-art outdoor kitchen is surrounded by multiple seating options including the expansive fire table.

POOL PATIO
Dana Dray | Brown Jordan
Designer Inspiration: As the presenting sponsor of ICONIC HAUS, Brown Jordan had the opportunity to collaborate with the top design firms in the area to create a captivating exterior oasis. When developing a plan for the pool deck, barbecue and firepit area, the goal was to create a quiet yet stimulating space by pulling inspiration from the architect’s vision and the values rooted in Brown Jordan’s legacy of 75 years. The firepit area displays various pieces from the Parkway Modular and Parkway Parabolic collection which mimic the strong rectangular structure of the house itself while providing a place to comfortably gather. The pool deck features pieces from the Luna collection. The delicate leg and bold circular pattern on this collection provided a cohesive element in shape between the circular hanging chair under the covered patio and the round Brown Jordan Sunshades. By using Sunbrella fabrics exclusive to Brown Jordan, in combination with our high-quality furniture design and manufacturing this space is sustainable and intended for living in luxurious serenity.
