More than one million people head to Roger’s Gardens in Corona Del Mar between the months of October and December, and it’s for good reason—the boutique is transformed into a picturesque winter wonderland, complete with curated holiday décor and one-of-a-kind artisan pieces.
Roger’s Gardens starts planning for the holiday season early—a whole year in advance—when buyers begin working with artisans and manufacturers to develop custom items for the boutique. The Roger’s Gardens buyers travel to Europe each year to bring back the best holiday decor styles—including items like wooden nutcrackers, delicately painted German Santas and exquisite Polish glass ornaments. The artisan ornaments are traditionally blown and hand-painted, selected to go hand-in-hand with the creative theme for the season.

At the beginning of each year, Roger’s Gardens Creative Director Eric Cortina defines the theme and direction for the Christmas boutique—and this year’s theme is Bright & Beautiful. The tone for the 2022 theme is a joyful palette of Christmas colors, elegant artisan decor and embellished, jewel-toned ornaments, alongside beautifully designed garlands and wreaths.
To transform Roger’s Gardens into a winter wonderland, a team of seven visual designers start building out the space three weeks in advance. 17 themed Christmas trees are then adorned with over 800 curated ornaments, and more than 3,000 unique holiday products are made available for purchase.
