You know you’ll be doing a lot of it again this year—shopping in your bathrobe from your home office. In fact Cyber Monday this year is expected to be the largest online shopping revenue day in history. While we all start with the best intentions in mind, remember these best practices:
— Start shopping early to avoid last minute rush charges…and the stress of wondering if your gift will arrive on time.
— Make sure to use a low-credit-limit credit card for all your purchases in case someone hacks your account.
— Make sure your delivery address is a location that receives deliveries seven days a week at all house…usually that’s your home. During the busy holiday season, drivers work all hours and if you’ve got packages coming to your office, the doors may be locked before your package arrives.
— Do keep all packing slips and receipts for easy returns.
— And, if you are buying gifts to ship to another location, sometimes you can use the gift recipient’s home address as the ship-to address saving time and money.
— Have fun—you’re purchasing gifts for people you love.
